ONLINE schools are one of the easiest ways to get a degree. Some courses offered in online schools do not necessarily make you have a degree but they can enhance your knowledge of the field of your interest. The advantage of online schools is that they offer only minimal tuition because they do not have any laboratory or uniform fees to collect from. Another hidden benefit from enrolling in an online school is that the student does not anymore spend for boarding as well as meals whenever he or she is in the school campus plus transportation to the school and back home.
If you’re not sure that an online school is accredited, then better enroll in the online extension of a reputable university. Don’t laugh because getting into these universities can still be tough. You have to pass the online entrance exam first just like what they do in a regular college. This is to make sure that the prestige of that university is not tarnished and all of its students will graduate with flying dignity. Tuition in these university extension online programs can still be costly but not as costly if you’re enrolled in eight semesters at the university’s physical campus itself. But that’s already okay because your employment will already be assured since naturally any employer in America will always be impressed if it is marked in your resume that you’re a graduate of a prestigious university albeit it is just its online or correspondence extension. And just like its physical counterpart, an online extension program is also good for four academic years. Or you may want to enroll in an online school which is just located in your state to be sure of its credibility. You must visit the physical office of the online school and check with your state’s Department of Education about the background and other pertinent information regarding the school’s reputation. You may want to check of the financial status of the school or if it is involved in some legal entanglement. This is to ensure that you’ll not be enrolled in a bogus school or your eight academic semesters will just go down the drain. The online school must also have qualified instructors. This you can check too at your state’s Department of Education. And lastly, if you know someone who has just graduated from a particular online school, ask him or her how the school’s curriculum checks out and whether that particular person has been successful searching for a job reflecting the online education received in his or her resume.

That is why they prefer to maintain the status quo of their respective curriculum’s. The school owners, the Department of Education has still to give priority to other concerns like lack of chairs and lack of school buildings. Many are still having classes under the shade of trees due to the lack of classrooms in the hinterland barangays.
But local experts in this country said the government’s allegedly corrupt officials seem to be one of the reasons of the slow pace of development the country is experiencing. Dirty politics has also haunted many politicians from focusing their attention to develop more programs on education – believing that education is the best weapon the Filipino should have if the country wants to move forward. For this time, experts say online education is not really a top priority because the country is still in trouble in as far as economic development is concerned.
At this moment, the government is still hoping the private sector to rally behind in the young Filipinos quest to update traditional schools by way of implementing online schools, whereby many students now prefer to enroll especially in Metro Manila and other key cities of the country where traffic jams is already a problem. But believers of traditional learning institutions are skeptics of the explosion recently revealed by the Massachusetts doctor saying that the four-corner classrooms is still the best institutions for learning all over the globe despite the threats posed by online education.
While leading universities are also troubled by the recent revelation, only a few of the universities in third-world countries are giving their reactions because majority still follow the old and traditional classroom instruction method. They are not, in anyway, affected by the revelation of a certain doctor in the US of the reported explosion of enrollees with over three million students enrolled in just one online class.
